The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) announced the Fall/Winter Chancellor's Scholar-Athlete Award winners, and Buffalo State's Brian Miller (Tonawanda/Kenmore East) and Tim Giagios (Rochester/Gates-Chili) were among the recipients. The awards are given annually in each sport to a member of the All-SUNYAC First or Second Team of sophomore or higher standing with the highest grade point average.

Miller, a junior on the Bengals men's soccer team, was a Second Team All-Conference selection after leading Buffalo State with 16 goals and 35 points. A childhood education major, Miller has maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.48.

Giagios, a senior on the men's indoor track and field team, captured the SUNYAC Championship in the 500-meter run. He has a 3.83 grade point average as a health and wellness major.

The athletes will be presented their awards by SUNY Chancellor Robert L. King at an awards banquet in Albany in April.
