Monaco Continues Assault on Women's Soccer Record Book
Buffalo State sophomore Gina Monaco (Niagara Falls/Niagara Falls) became Buffalo State's women's soccer all-time leading point scorer on Tuesday as she brought her career total to 90 in just 33 games passing Valerie Krell's (1983-86) 85.
In addition, her six goals and 14 points in a 13-0 win over D'Youville established new single-game bests. She also broke her own record for goals in a season with 21, and matched her own mark for points in a season with 45.
Monaco's Bengals are just one win shy of matching the school's highest win total since 1985 as they are currently 7-6-1. Buffalo State closes out the season with five consecutive home games beginning this weekend when it hosts Cortland on Friday and Oswego on Saturday.
