NATO Briefing Officer Visits Buffalo State Tuesday
Danny McGrane, a lieutenant commander in the British Royal Navy and a North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Briefing Officer, will speak with Buffalo State political science students on Tuesday at 10:45 a.m. in the Campbell Student Union Assembly Hall.
His lecture will address NATO's history and post-Cold War transformation; NATO in Afghanistan and other theatres of operation; the costs and benefits of NATO membership; and challenges to NATO. McGrane is based in Norfolk, Va., at NATO's only major military command in the United States, Allied Command Transformation.
The event is sponsored by the Student Political Society, the Political Science Department, and the Institute for European Union Studies at SUNY.
