BUFFALO, NY--Neumann College (9-8-1/6-3) scored two goals in each period to defeat Buffalo State (7-10-1/5-4), 6-1, in a critical ECAC West game today at the Ice Arena.

The Knights led 3-0 early in the second period before sophomore Melissa Jeckovich (Niagara Falls/Niagara Falls) scored an unassisted goal at the 6:10 mark of the second stanza to put the Bengals on the board. Neumann responded with three unanswered goals, including a power play marker, to close out the scoring for both teams.

Neumann outshot Buffalo State, 32-15.

Buffalo State and Neumann will face off again tomorrow at 1 p.m.
