New Burchfield-Penney Art Center Building Receives $16.5 million

The Governor’s Office has allocated $16.5 million toward the construction of the new Burchfield-Penney Art Center museum building, a mixed-use facility that will support programs such as art conservation, museum studies, fine arts, and art education as well as house the Burchfield-Penney. Construction is expected to commence this summer.

The Burchfield-Penney Art Center is a museum dedicated to the art and vision of Charles E. Burchfield and distinguished artists of Buffalo Niagara and Western New York State. The museum is open Tuesday – Saturday from 10 a.m. to5 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors and students and $3 for children and is free for students, faculty and staff of Buffalo State College and members of the Burchfield-Penney.
