In the News: Alumna, Stylist Makes Hollywood 'Power List'

Buffalo State alumna and celebrity stylist Ade Samuel, '10, has been featured in the Hollywood Reporter's "25 Most Powerful Stylists in Hollywood" list.

It’s the ninth annual list put out by the magazine.

As an alum and former intern for such companies as W magazine and Teen Vogue, Samuel has quickly made a name for herself in the fashion industry. She is an accomplished celebrity stylist who has worked with actors like Letitia Wright and Michael B. Jordan, to name a few.

In reference to her most well-known look, the custom double-breasted Louis Vuitton navy tuxedo with Virgil Abloh signature harness worn by Jordan at the SAG Awards, Samuel said, "The look was so distinct that it created a dialogue regarding menswear and the risks you can take in today's culture."

Samuel told the Reporter she was also proud to land her client the first custom Riccardo Tisci for Burberry tuxedo for this year's Golden Globes.
