In a special feature about parents favoring one child over another, Pamela Schuetze, professor of psychology, shared insights about parents’ feelings and children’s perceptions with WIVB-TV reporter Nalina Shapiro.

“Parents are human,” said Schuetze, noting that parents often have children that they relate to better. However, she warned that if children believe there’s favoritism in the family, problems may result.
