BUFFALO, NY—Plattsburgh’s Claire O’Connor had two goals and an assist to lead the No. 2-ranked Cardinals (17-2/11-1) to a 6-0 win over host Buffalo State (5-9-3/3-9-2) in ECAC West action today at the Ice Arena.

Plattsburgh had a 5-0 lead after two periods of play and added another goal in the third frame to account for the game’s scoring, including going 4 for 9 on the power play.

The Cardinals outshot Buffalo State, 34-11. Shannon Anesetti (Canonsburg/Canon-McMillan) had 28 saves in the loss for the Bengals.

Buffalo State will travel to Williams College for a pair of non-conference games this Saturday and Sunday.
