BUFFALO, NY—Riley Hill scored a pair of first-period power-play goals and added an assist as No. 5-ranked Plattsburgh (6-0-0) defeated host Buffalo State (2-4-1/1-1-1), 6-1, in a SUNYAC game tonight at the Ice Arena.

Hill opened the scoring just 1:25 into the contest, but Buffalo State answered just 24 second later on a tally by Jason Hill (Niagara Falls, NY). Plattsburgh took control from there, however, connecting on 5 of 10 power play attempts.

Phil Farrow extended the Cardinals lead to 3-1 in the second period. CJ Tozzo, Dylan Clarke and Mike Thomson added third period goals for the Cardinals to seal the win.

Plattsburgh outshot the Bengals, 38-14.

Buffalo State will host Potsdam tomorrow at 7 p.m.
