No. 6 RIT Blanks Women's Hockey, 2-0
BUFFALO, NY—Buffalo State (1-1/0-1) dropped a 2-0 decision to visiting RIT (3-0/3-0), the sixth-ranked team in the nation, in an ECAC West game tonight at the Ice Arena.
The Tigers took an early lead, scoring their first goal just 52 seconds into the game and added an insurance marker midway through the third period.
RIT outshot Buffalo State, 36-15 and went 1 for 5 on the power play. Shannon Anesetti (Canonsburg, PA/Canon-McMillan) made 34 saves for Buffalo State.
Buffalo State and RIT will play again tomorrow at the Ice Arena at 2 p.m.
