The Buffalo State College Alumni Association seeks nominations for its 2003 Young Alumnus Achievement Awards.

In its second year of existence, the award recognizes young alumni (graduates within the past 20 years) who have a demonstrated record of achievement since their graduation from college. The awards will be presented at a ceremony during Homecoming Weekend on Friday, Oct. 3, at 7 p.m., in the Fireside Lounge of the Campbell Student Union.

To be considered, nominees must have graduated in 1983 or later and achieved significant professional advancement, provided outstanding service to the community and demonstrated loyalty and commitment to Buffalo State College.

Although nominations are accepted yearlong, the deadline for nominations for the 2003 awards is Aug. 4. Nominations are welcome from alumni, faculty, staff, emeriti, students and friends of the college, as are self-nominations. Awards are not given posthumously.
