Oswego Drops Men’s Hockey 6-2

Buffalo State fell to 1-6 overall, and 0-3 in the SUNYAC with a 6-2 loss at home against the third-ranked Oswego Lakers today.

The Bengals went into the lockeroom after the first period of play down 3-0. Sophomore defensemen Sean O’Connell (Buffalo/Capital Centre Pride) scored an unassisted goal nine minutes into the second period to make the score 3-1. The Lakers would score twice more in the second to finish the second period scoring 5-1. Brian Janke (Anchorage, AK/Buffalo Lightning) added a goal in the third to finish the scoring for the Bengals. Brendon Ramsay (Tampa, FL/Cherry Hill) and Adam Horvath (Coplay, PA/Pelham) combined for 47 stops in the game.

The Bengals will take on Cortland tomorrow night at 7:00 in the Buffalo State Ice Arena. The Red Dragons defeated the Bengals 9-4 earlier in the year.
