BUFFALO, NY-Oswego (20-5/11-5) spoiled Buffalo State Head Coach Dick Bihr's last career home game, defeating the Bengals (10-14/5-11), 73-55, tonight at the Sports Arena.

Bihr, who is retiring from coaching after 25 years, was honored prior to tonight's opening tip-off.

The Lakers overcame an early deficit to take a 34-27 halftime advantage. Oswego pulled away in the second stanza and cruised to the 18-point victory.

Ahmad Mims (Syracuse/CNS) and Mat Burridge (Oswego/Hannibal) led the Lakers with 15 points each. Dave Ponza (Solvay/Solvay) added 12 points.

Senior Jon Allport-Cohoon (Jamestown/Lockport) led Buffalo State with a career-high 21 points on 9-of-15 shooting from the field. Dion Mozelle (Rego Park/Xaverian) had nine points and seven rebounds.

Buffalo State will wait for the outcome in tonight's Fredonia/Cortland game to learn its SUNYAC playoff fate. If Cortland wins, Buffalo State will play at Potsdam on Tuesday. If Fredonia wins, the Bengals will be out.
