Oswego Shoots Past Women's Basketball, 101-74

OSWEGO, NY—Buffalo State (7-18/4-12) surrendered 100 points for just the fifth time in school history today in a 101-74 season-ending loss at Oswego (17-7/11-5).

Senior Jacey Brooks (Machias/Franklinville) led four Bengals in double-figures with 18 points. Shareese Hamer (Erie, PA/Strong Vincent) had 12 points, Toya Parks (Brooklyn/MLK) had 11, and Gina Apa (Buffalo/McKinley) scored 10. Senior Darnika Moseley (Liverpool/Liverpool) closed out her career with nine points and five rebounds.

Six Lakers scored in double-figures, led by Jessica Tremblay and Alaina Hannahs with 15 points each. Hannahs also grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds.

Oswego trailed 29-26 with less than six minutes remaining in the opening half, but mounted a 21-4 run to end the period with a 47-33 advantage. The Lakers cruised to the victory in the second half, shooting 59-percent from the field for the game and 55-percent from 3-point range. Oswego outrebounded Buffalo State, 45-33.

Buffalo State finishes the season tied for ninth in the SUNYAC with SUNYIT.
