OSWEGO, NY—Despite 22 points and 17 rebounds by Dion Mozelle (Rego Park/Xaverian), Buffalo State (4-9/2-5) lost at Oswego (11-4/5-2), 91-83, in a SUNYAC game tonight in Max Ziel Gymnasium.

Mozelle increased his career scoring total to 995 points, looking to become just the 18th player in school history to reach the 1,000-plateau. Antonio Samedi (St. Albans/ Queens Vocational) added 15 points and 11 boards. James Tyndal (Bronx/Msgr. Scanlon) also scored 15, Jamar Gray (Rochester/ Bishop Kearney) scored 12, and Neal Wilkins (Middletown/ Middletown) added 11 off the bench.

Buffalo State jumped out to an early 16-6 lead and clung to a 41-39 advantage at the intermission. The Lakers started fast in the second half, however, taking the lead just over two minutes in, and never relinquished the advantage. Both teams shot 50-percent from the field, but Oswego capitalized on Bengal miscues, outscoring Buffalo State, 31-14, off of turnovers.

Buffalo State will travel to Morrisville tomorrow for a 4 p.m. tip off.
