Buffalo State had nine top-eight finishers in a non-team scored meet today at Slippery Rock University.

Mercedes Roper (Buffalo/City Honors) led the women, placing second in the 100 meter dash and fourth in the 200 meter dash. Jennifer Vacanti (Niagara Falls/Niagara-Wheatfield) finished sixth in the 1500 and Deirdre Blanke (Niskayuna/Colonie) placed fifth in the 3000 meter steeplechase.

Ken Ciolek (Limestone/Bradford Area) paced the men with a second-place finish in the high jump and an eighth place finish in the triple jump. Justin Muise (Kenmore/Kenmore West) garnered a second place finish in the 200 meter dash, Tim Giagios (Rochester/Gates-Chili) finished third in the 400 meter hurdles and Rob Kozlowski (Elma/Iroquois) placed sixth in the hammer throw.

Buffalo State will compete in the SUNYAC Championships at Cortland this weekend.
