Football running back James Perkins (Troy/Troy) was named the Atlantic Central Football Conference (ACFC) Co-Offensive Player of the Week.

The sophomore ran 32 times for 123 yards and two touchdowns in a 27-20 come-from-behind victory at Cortland on Saturday. Perkins' two scores came on runs of one and seven yards in a span of 2:50 late in the third quarter, helping the Bengals overcome an early 13-0 deficit.

Perkins is Buffalo State's leading rusher with 237 yards on 54 carries in three games this season. He was a Second Team All-ACFC selection in 2004 as a rookie.

Perkins and the Bengals will travel to Frostburg State this Saturday for an ACFC contest.
