Bryan Boyce, assistant professor of music, performs a piano recital in celebration of the newly restored Mason & Hamlin concert grand piano, Tuesday, September 7, at 7:30 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center at Rockwell Hall.

"We are proud to have a world-class concert instrument that will serve our students, faculty, and guest artists," said Boyce. "I have selected a program that will demonstrate the broad range of sounds, colors, and dynamics that the instrument is capable of producing."

The program includes works by Bach, Chopin, Debussy, and Schubert. The concert, part of the Faculty and Friends Concert Series, will also feature the world premiere of "Redshift," a piece for prepared piano and electronic sounds, composed by J. Tomas Henriques, assistant professor of music.

Bryan Boyce has appeared as soloist, collaborator, duo-pianist, and lecturer throughout the United States and China. At Buffalo State, Boyce teaches piano, class piano, and accompanying.
