Plattsburgh Rallies Past Women’s Soccer, 3-2
BUFFALO, NY—Elizabeth Radigan (Troy/Troy) scored 52 seconds into overtime to complete the Plattsburgh (11-2-1/6-2-1) and give the Cardinals a 3-2 overtime victory over host Buffalo State (6-9/4-5) today at Coyer Field.
Madeline Morosey (N. Collins/N. Collins) opened the scoring for the Bengals with the lone goal of the first half. Kristen Lavigne (Morrisonville/Clinton CC) put Plattsburgh on the board in the 67th minute, but the Kelsie Moran (Albany/Albany) reclaimed the lead for Buffalo State just 2:04 later. Jackie Rosenberg (Islip/Islip) netted the equalizer to force overtime with just 3:25 remaining.
Buffalo State held an 18-15 advantage in shots. Kathryn Lind (Garden City/Garden City) made eight saves for Plattsburgh, and Meghan Jarrell (Hamburg/Hamburg) had five stops for the Bengals.
Buffalo State will play at Fredonia on Wednesday at 3 p.m.
