Potsdam Defeats Men's Hockey, 5-1
Buffalo State lost its second SUNYAC game in as many nights tonight, falling 5-1 at Potsdam in a game that saw the two teams combine for 28 penalties.
Potsdam took a 3-0 lead 3:23 into the second period before Mark Yoder scored from Mike DeMarco and Matt Stankevich midway through the game to cut the deficit to 3-1. The Bears would answer less than a minute later, however, and added another goal late in the period to take a 5-1 lead into the final stanza. Neither team was able to score in the final 20 minutes, as the Bears skated away with the win.
Buffalo State fell to 1-5 on the season and 0-2 in SUNYAC play.
