Preseason Football Camp to Open on Friday
First-year Head Coach Paul Shaffner will welcome approximately 100 prospective football players to Buffalo State's 2004 preseason camp beginning on Friday, August 13.
The Bengals will begin preparation for their first-ever season of conference play as members of the Atlantic Central Football Conference with Apprentice (VA), Brockport, Frostburg (MD), Salisbury (MD), and Wesley (DE). Buffalo State will open the 2004 campaign with a pair of non-conference road games, opening with Division I-AA Robert Morris on September 4, before traveling to Ithaca on September 11. The Bengals will open their home slate on September 18 with a conference tilt against Wesley. Other highlights on the docket include a homecoming meeting with Frostburg on October 2, and the regular season finale at Brockport on November 13 in the inaugural I-90 Bowl.
