President Podolefsky on NYSUNY 2020

On Monday, Governor Andrew M. Cuomo and SUNY Chancellor Nancy L. Zimpher unveiled the NYSUNY 2020 Challenge Grant Program. Phase one of the program is worth up to $140 million dollars to the SUNY University Centers in Albany, Binghamton, Buffalo, and Stony Brook. The NYSUNY 2020 Challenge Grant Program will initially consist of $35 million in capital funding per school for the four SUNY University Centers.

“The NYSUNY 2020 initiative, combined with Governor Cuomo’s strong support Monday for a rational tuition policy for all SUNY institutions, shows what a tremendous advocate we have in Albany for public higher education.

"We congratulate Governor Cuomo and Chancellor Zimpher for their leadership and work on NYSUNY 2020—which will empower economic revitalization efforts across New York State, including here in Western New York.
