E. H. Butler Library will unveil its new QuietQuad lab and StudyQuad lounge with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, Tuesday, August 31, at 12:15 p.m.

The expanded facilities, which will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, feature comfortable lounge areas, quiet study spaces, additional computers and printers for student use, an assistive technology center, a presentation room, and a new brightly lit, accessible entrance to StudyQuad on the south side of the library (across from Cleveland Hall).

“This wonderful expansion is the direct result of student feedback, which made it clear that our students wanted more overall space, quiet study areas, and a place to eat in the middle of the night,” said Maryruth Glogowski, associate vice president, library and instructional technology.

“With students returning to campus this week, we are excited that they will be able to take advantage of these great amenities.”

Joining Glogowski at the ribbon-cutting ceremony will be Provost Dennis Ponton and new Buffalo State President Aaron Podolefksy.
