The Research Foundation celebrated its 12th annual Research Foundation Recognition Reception on April 27 at the Burchfield Penney Art Center. This event acknowledges members of the campus community who have secure funds for research or sponsored programs.

At the ceremony, 20 recipients of the Undergraduate Summer Research Fellowships were recognized and five Research Foundation employees were identified for achieving service milestones. Read more on the Research Foundation Web site.

The Research Foundation's Million Dollar Club celebrates individuals who have achieved $1 million in sponsored programs since 2000. This year’s inductees to the Million Dollar Club were Margaret Shaw-Burnett, associate vice president for continuing professional studies, and Theresa M. Janczak, assistant professor of exceptional education.

Buffalo State College ranks fourth in the entire SUNY system for funded program activity, behind three university centers. The college also accounts for 60 percent of funded-program dollars among SUNY’s comprehensive colleges. Read more in the Bulletin.
