River City Brass Band to Conduct Clinics

In conjunction with their appearance at the Performing Arts Center at Rockwell Hall, the acclaimed River City Brass Band will conduct free clinics for young brass players. All musicians are welcome to attend the sessions starting at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, April 19 in Rockwell Hall on the campus of Buffalo State College. Two separate clinics will be offered focusing on low brass instruments and high brass instruments. This is a wonderful opportunity for aspiring musicians to learn from highly respected professionals. Based in Pittsburgh, the River City Brass Band is considered to be one of America?s most successful concert bands. It has won critical and popular acclaim nationally and abroad for its superb performances of a wide variety of musical styles and repertoire, and for its appealing concert format. Currently, the RCBB has one of the most active schedules among American touring ensembles, performing 60 or more concerts on tour each year. Comprised of 28 professional musicians, this season marks the RCBB's 20th year of entertaining audiences. The River City Brass Band will be presenting a concert celebrating the American spirit entitled "Star Spangled Brass" at the Performing Arts Center at Rockwell Hall, Buffalo State College on Friday, April 19 at 8:00 p.m. Tickets may be purchased by calling the Box Office at (716) 878-3005.
