A female student reported to Buffalo Police Tuesday night that she was the victim of an armed robbery in the Mobil gas station parking lot at the corner of Elmwood and Forest avenues. The suspect approached the victim at 8:25 p.m. last night and asked to use her phone. When the victim asked for the phone back, the suspect lifted up his jacket and displayed a small handgun. The suspect, who fled the scene in a dark gray four-door sedan, was described to Buffalo Police as a black male, approximately 6’2”, 170 pounds, with brown eyes, and wearing a red hat, a red zipped jacket, and dark jeans.

A similar incident occurred near the Canisius College campus last night as well.
