Sheehan, Hill Earn Weekly SUNYAC Men's Hockey Honors
Buffalo State men's hockey players Sean Sheehan (Mt. Laurel, NJ/Lenape) and Jason Hill (Niagara Falls/Niagara Falls) both earned State University of New York Athletic Conference(SUNYAC) weekly honors after helping the Bengals split with Lebanon Valley this past weekend.
Sheehan earned Goalie of the Week honors for the second consecutive week. The junior criminal justice major made 50 saves in his first career shutout on Friday, and made 20 saves in a 4-1 loss on Saturday.
Hill earned Rookie of the Week honors after scoring the first two goals of his career. The health and wellness major had a goal and an assist in Friday's 3-0 win, and scored the lone goal in Saturday's game.
Buffalo State closed the first semester with a 7-8 overall record and a 4-3 mark in conference play. The team will break for the holidays before returning to action on January 13 at Johnson and Wales.
