The University Police Department at Buffalo State has partnered with a smartphone app developer to provide real-time GPS location information for the college’s daytime and evening shuttle services.

Now available for free in the both the Apple App (iPhone) and Google Play (Android) stores, the SmartTraxx App allows students, faculty, and staff to better anticipate the escort van’s arrival time at a particular stop.

Real-time shuttle location is also available through any web browser by visiting the University Police Safe Escort page, or by clicking directly on the links below:

Daytime Express Shuttle (Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.)

Evening Escort Van (Monday through Sunday, 4:30 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.)

The free shuttle service is provided when classes are in session during the fall and spring semesters.

In addition, campus community members can request a personal walking escort to their cars, residence halls, or any other building on campus 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, by calling University Police at (716) 878-6333 from a cell phone, dialing ext. 6333 from a campus phone, or from one of 44 blue-light phones.
