Softball Drops Doubleheader at Cortland
Buffalo State (17-7/6-6) dropped both halves of a double-header today at SUNYAC-rival Cortland, falling 5-1 and 8-3.
In the opener, Lindsey Matheis (Hamburg/Williamsville South) went 2 for 3 with an RBI. Melissa Balsavage (Depew/Depew) took the loss on the mound, allowing nine hits and five runs.
in the nightcap, Emily Goldyn (Lancaster/Lancaster) led the Bengals, going 2 for 3 with an RBI, and Lauren Wright (Westfield/Westfield) was 1 for 3 with an RBI. Kristen Scheffold (Lancaster/Lancaster) suffered the loss on the mound, striking out six and allowing six hits and eight runs.
Buffalo State will visit Oswego tomorrow for another conference doubleheader starting at 1 p.m.
