Softball pitcher Elizabeth Beiter (N. Tonawanda) was named Buffalo State's Athlete of the Week.

The junior earned three consecutive victories this past week, and did not allow a single run in 15 innings of work. She allowed just one hit in a five inning 8-0 win over RIT on Monday, allowed two hits in a combined shutout over New Paltz on Saturday, and went the distance allowing two hits in a 7-0 blanking at Oneonta on Sunday.

Beiter is off to a 6-0 start this season and has posted a 1.32 earned run average.
