Softball player Jolene Banach (Cheektowaga/ Maryvale) was named the Buffalo State Athlete of the Week after leading the Bengals to a 5-1 week. The sophomore health and wellness major went 10 of 19 (.526) with four doubles, a homerun, eight RBIs and eight runs scored, as the Bengals split with Geneseo and swept RIT and Oswego. Banach is second on the team with a .421 batting average and leads the team with 15 RBIs.
