Softball Ranked No. 16 in Nation

Buffalo State's softball team was ranked No. 16 in NCAA Division III in the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Top-25 Poll released today.

Buffalo State, the only SUNYAC school in the top-25, is 17-5, including a 12-1 start. The Bengals are outscoring their opponents 124-36, and has shut out the opposition in 12 games. This is the first time the Bengals have appeared in the national poll since being ranked as high as 21st in 2000. The Bengals went on to win the SUNYAC Championship that season.

Buffalo State will play at conference-rival Cortland on Friday at 3 p.m.
