Springfest 2011: Sold Out

Chart-topping hip hop artist Lupe Fiasco headlines Buffalo State's 2011 Springfest, Thursday, May 5, in the Sports Arena. The event is sold out.

Lupe Fiasco burst onto the popular music scene in early 2006 with his debut, Food & Liquor. The recording was hailed for its combination of cerebral lyrics and infectious beats. The record earned the Chicago-bred rapper three Grammy nominations—including a win for "Best Urban/Alternative Performance." After a long delay, the artist's new recording, Lasers, finally dropped last month and has produced the platinum-selling single "The Show Goes On."

United Students Government (USG) presents Lupe Fiasco with guests Far East Movement and Miguel. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The show starts at 8:00 p.m. USG-sponsored activities are funded by the mandatory student activity fee.

No backpacks, large bags, cameras, drinks, or bottles,  will be allowed in the Sports Arena.
