Students Speak Available as Free Download
Students Speak: Reactions to Class Experiences at Buffalo State College, a book by Abel Fink, professor emeritus of educational foundations, is now available for free download.
Published jointly in 2010 by Buffalo State’s E. H. Butler Library and the Monroe Fordham Regional History Center, the 174-page book contains student papers collected by Fink during his four decades at the university. Fink, who began his tenure at Buffalo State in 1956 after earning degrees in human development and group dynamics, was known for his student-centered teaching style.
Now Students Speak becomes the first work featured in the library’s “Butler Bookcase,” a new digital archive showcasing monographs written by Buffalo State faculty. The “Bookcase” allows users to download an entire book in PDF format for free, link to purchase a printed copy of the book, and tell a colleague about the book.
Fink also has created a blog to promote discussion about the book.
