Swimming and Diving Teams Take Seventh at Grove City
GROVE CITY, PA--Buffalo State's swimming and diving teams wrapped up the Grove City James Longnecker Invitational today with both teams taking seventh in the nine team meet.
Leading the top finishes on the women's side was Nicole Rutkowski (Williamsville/Williamsville North) who won the one-meter diving competition with a score of 231.45. Kelly Stoklosa (W. Seneca/W. Seneca West) narrowly missed setting a school record, placing fifth in the 100 breast in 1:10.52. Sara Weinert (S. Byron/Byron-Bergen) captured eighth in the 1,650 free in 19:36.12.
On the men's side, Dave Papke (Woodlawn/St. Francis) had the top fishish, taking sixth in the 100 breast in 1:03.65. Kevin Buisman (Penfield/Penfield) added a strong showing in the 200 breast, placing eighth in 2:23.37.
Buffalo State will break for the holidays, before traveling to Ft. Lauderdale for its annual training trip January 2 through 10.
