Swimming and Diving Wraps Up Day Two of SUNYACs

Buffalo State swimming and diving competed in the second day of the SUNYAC Championships at the Flickinger Center in downtown-Buffalo today. The men are currently in sixth of nine teams, and the women are ninth of nine.

Highlights on the men's side included Rich Gaczewski (N. Tonawanda/N. Tonawanda) placing 10th in the 400 IM (4:32.16), and Dave Papke (Woodlawn/St. Francis) finishing 10th in the 100 breast (1:04.99). Derek Stoklosa (W. Seneca/W. Seneca West), Eric Hastings (Wilmington, DE/Mt. Pleasant) and Mark Manka (W. Seneca/W. Seneca West) finished 10th, 11th and 12th respectively in the 200 free.

On the women's side, Casie Seier (Palmyra/Palmyra-Macedon) finished 14th in the 100 fly (1:05.55), and Mary Clausen (Churchville/Churchville-Chili) placed 14th in the 100 breast (1:14.29).

The SUNYAC Championships will wrap up tomorrow. The finals will begin at 6 p.m.
