Swimming & Diving Teams Sweep Morrisville
BUFFALO, NY— Buffalo State’s men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams each defeated an undersized Morrisville squad today at Kissinger Pool, with the women winning, 95-26, while the men topped the Mustangs, 130-66.
Kevin Buisman (Rochester/Penfield) was a quadruple winner for the Bengals, touching first in the 1,000 free (11:35.01), 200 free (2:01.63), 100 back (1:07.68) and the 500 free (5:32.99). Tim Harroun (Tonawanda/Tonawanda) was a double winner, touching first in the 100 free (54.58) and 100 breast (1:09.86). Christopher Steinert (Lakeview/Frontier) claimed the 1-meter diving title, scoring 250.40 points.
On the women’s side, Sarah Rotella (North Tonawanda/North Tonawanda) and Christina Jasek (North Tonawanda/North Tonawanda) each scored top points in two events, as Rotella won the 1,000 free (13:09.83) and 500 free (6:18.39), while Jasek claimed the 200 free (2:24.68) and 100 back (1:23.45).
Buffalo State will return to action next Saturday at Oswego at 1 p.m.
