Swimming Diving Wraps Up SUNYAC Championships;Stoklosa Captures Second SUNYAC Title

BUFFALO, NY--Buffalo State's swimming and diving teams concluded the SUNYAC Championships tonight at ECC's Flickinger Aquatic Center. The women placed sixth of nine teams with 256 points, and the men were seventh with 242.

Kelly Stoklosa (W. Seneca/W. Seneca West) won her second SUNYAC title and broke her second school record in as many days. She shaved more than two seconds off of her own school mark, winning the 200 breast in 2:30.10. Amanda Dory (Amherst/Sweet Home) earned a second place finish on the one-meter diving board (376.95), and Megan Stull (Victor/Victor) was 11th (290.95). Mindy Wood (Rushville/Marcus Whitman) added a ninth-place showing in the 1,650 free in 18:46.73, while Sara Weinert was 11th in 19:05.15.

On the men's side, Kevin Buisman (Penfield/Penfield) had the top-finish, placing fifth in the 200 breast (2:14.71), while Dave Papke (Woodlawn/St. Francis) was 14th (2:20.18). Eric Hastings (Wilmington, DE/Mt. Pleasant) finished ninth in the 1,650 free (17:26.80), and Rich Gaczewski (N. Tonawanda/N. Tonawanda) was 11th (17:47.09). Gaczewski was also ninth in the 200 fly (2:04.22).
