Buffalo State seniors Perry Taglienti (Depew/Lancaster) and Michael Holbok (Williamsville/St. Joe's) were both selected to the 2004 ECAC Northwest All-Star Team, with Taglienti garnering First Team honors, and Holbok receiving Honorable Mention distinction.

Taglienti, a linebacker, was second in the Atlantic Central Football Conference (ACFC) with 109 tackles, becoming the first Bengals to surpass the 100-tackle plateau since 2000. He was also second on the team with 13 tackles for loss. Taglienti also earned First Team All-ACFC and Second Team All-Region honors.

Holbok, a defensive end, anchored a dominant pass rush as the defensive end finished second in the ACFC with nine sacks and finished the season with 41 tackles, four forced fumbles and three blocked kicks. Holbok was also named First-Team All-ACFC and Third Team All-Region.

Buffalo State went 4-6 and 2-3 in conference in 2004 in its first season as a member of the ACFC.
