Twenty-four students in Buffalo State’s television and film arts (TFA) program attended the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City, April 19-22. The students saw world-premiere films and participated in entertainment industry sessions with Emmy-winning writer and Buffalo State alumnus Tom Fontana  and CBS Producer Ramon Parkins. Jeffrey Hirschberg, director of television and film arts; Gail Wells, director of student life; and Charlene Fontana, assistant to the director of student life; accompanied the students.

The New York trip comes on the heels of a whirlwind trip to Toronto the students took on April 10 when they visited the set of the new television series, Copper.
