Three Bengals Earn All-SUNYAC Basketball Honors

The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) announced its all-conference basketball teams last night at the SUNYAC Basketball Championship Banquet in Utica, NY, and three Bengals were recognized.

Monique Hanks (Liverpool/Liverpool) represented the Bengals women's team as a First Team All-SUNYAC selection. The senior guard ranked in the top-10 in the SUNYAC in five different statistical categories, including leading the conference with 3.69 steals-per-game. She also ranked third in rebounding averaging 8.1 and seventh in scoring with 13.3 points-per-game. Hanks finished her career as just the second Bengal to ever score 1,000 points and grab 500 career rebounds as she finished with 1,100 and 641 respectively.

Seniors Perry Davis (Buffalo/Seneca) and Joshua Becker (Hamburg/Frontier) represented the men's team as Davis was a Second Team selection and Becker earned honorable mention status. Davis ranked in the top-10 in the SUNYAC in six different statistical categories. He was ninth in conference scoring with 15.3 points-per-game and was third in rebounding averaging 9.3. Davis also finished third in steals with 2.67 per-game.

Becker finished fifth in conference scoring, averaging 15.9 points-per-game. He finished his career 10th on Buffalo State's all-time scoring list with 1,202 points, despite playing just three seasons.
