Buffalo State softball players Stephanie Menth (Tonawanda/Tonawanda), Nadine Sirianni (Niagara Falls/Niagara Falls) and Heidi Rammacher (Angola/Lakeshore) were selected as Division III Upstate All-Stars by the Eastern College Athletic Conference.

Menth, a junior outfielder, was named to the First Team after earning Second Team recognition in 2001. She led the Bengals this season with 46 hits and posted a .368 batting average. She was also dominant in the field, committing just one error in 56 chances.

Sirrianni joined Menth on the First Team as she completed one of the best one-two outfield punches in the nation. She recorded a .361 batting average and 25 RBI, and started all 36 games during her sophomore campaign.

Rammacher was named to the Second Team as a designated player. After missing all but nine games of her rookie season in 2001 with a broken thumb, she was a major contributor as the team's cleanup hitter this season. She had a .339 batting average and drove in 27 runs.

All three players were selected to the All-SUNYAC team as well, as they helped lead the Bengals to a 19-17 overall record and a berth in the conference playoffs.
