Three Women's Hockey Players Receive Conference Academic Honors

Three Buffalo State women’s hockey players, junior Amanda Uschold (Rochester/Brighton) and sophomores Tamara Clayton (Toms River, NJ/Toms River) and Courtney Wagner (Connellsville, PA/Connellsville) were named to the 2005 ECAC Division III Women’s West All-Academic Team, announced earlier today.

Uschold, a design major, has a current grade-point average of 3.17. The co-captain finished the season as the team’s assist leader, accumulating 13 helpers, as well as three goals. Clayton, also a design major, has a grade-point average of 3.72 and registered two assists throughout the season. Wagner holds a 3.70 grade-point average. The health and wellness major finished the season with three goals and one assist.

In order to receive All-Academic honors, the student-athlete must maintain a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.00, have completed at least one academic year at the current institution and have competed in at least one-half of her team’s contest during the 2004-05 season.
