Track and Field Athlete Ken Ciolek
Track and field athlete Ken Ciolek (Limestone/Bradford Area) was named the Buffalo State Athlete of the Week.
The freshman competed in the Baldwin-Wallace decathlon this past week, and fell just 42 points shy of an NCAA provisional qualifier, as he scored 5958 points and place second in the meet. Ciolek won six of the 10 events, capturing the long jump (6.58m), shot put (11.13m), high jump (1.91m), discus (32.59m), javelin (53.60m) and the 1500-meter run (4:57.98). He also ran the 100-meter dash in 12.04, the 400-meter in 53.91, the 100-meter hurdles in 16.95, and pole vaulted 2.85m.
