Track and Field Athlete Markus Allen
Sprinter Markus Allen (Commack, NY/St. John's the Baptist) was named Buffalo State's Athlete of the Week.
Allen stood atop the podium three times at the SUNYAC Championships at Deitz Stadium in Kingston, NY. He sprinted to individual titles in both the 100m(11.15) and the 200m dashes (22.20). He also anchored the first place 4x100m relay sqad that set a new SUNYAC meet record with at time of 42.31.
Allen helped the Bengals to a third place team finish in the meet, the team's highest outdoor meet finish in recent history.
