Track and Field Competes at Bucknell Invitational

Buffalo State's indoor track and field teams competed at the Bucknell Invitational this past Saturday.

Sarah Gedraitis (Lockport/Akron) was the highlight of the women's side, breaking a school record in the weight throw with a measurement of 11.46 meters. Jenelle Orosz (N. Tonawanda/N. Tonawanda) had a ninth place finish in the high jump, clearing 1.55 meters, just .05 meters shy of equalling a Buffalo State record. Mercedes Roper (Buffalo/Performing Arts) also had a strong showing, placing third in her heat of the 60-meter dash, clocking 8.10.

On the men's side, Richard Harris (Rochester/Hilton) won the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.37. Ken Ciolek (Limestone/Bradford Area) placed sixth in the heptachlon with a score of 4,287.

Buffalo State will return to action this Saturday at the Mt. Union Invitational.
