Track and Field Competes at the IUP Open
Buffalo State competed at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania Open this Saturday, capturing four top-five finishes.
The women’s team was highlighted by Jenelle Orosz (North Tonawanda/North Tonawanda), who took a first place finish in the high jump with a jump of 1.65 meters. Sarah Gedraitis (Lockport/Akron) finished fifth in the discus throw, posting a distance of 35.18 meters.
Ken Ciolek (Limestone/Bradford Area) led the men’s team, taking third in the triple jump with 13.28 meters. Todd Wassinger (Sanborn/Starpoint) placed fifth in the shot put with a distance of 13.81 meters.
The Bengals return to action this weekend at Oneonta for the SUNYAC Championship.
