Track athletes Latoya D. Edwards (Brooklyn/ Clara Barton) and Mario Hicks (Corning/ Corning West) were named the Buffalo State Co-Athletes of the Week after representing the Bengals at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships last weekend at Ohio Northern University. Edwards, a sophomore majoring in health and wellness, became just the second-ever Buffalo State female to capture All-America status in track and field, placing third in the 55-meter dash in a school record time of 7.12 seconds. Hicks, a senior English major, was a repeat All-American in the 55-meter hurdles, placing fifth in 7.60 seconds. Hicks was second in the event a year ago.
