Track & Field Athletes Orosz, Hicks and Hordge

Track & field athletes Jenelle Orosz (N. Tonawanda/N. Tonawanda), Mario Hicks (Corning/Corning West), and Willie Hordge (Buffalo/Forestbrook TX) were named co-athletes of the week after each earned All-America status at last weekend's NCAA Division III Indoor Championships in Terre Haute, Ind.

Orosz, a junior secondary English education major, became Buffalo State's first-ever female track & field All-American as she finished sixth in the high jump, clearing a height of 1.66 meters (5'5 1/4").

Hicks, a junior English major, finished second in the 55-meter hurdles as he equaled a school record with a time of 7.49 seconds. Kenddrick Gibbons of Lincoln University won the championship in 7.37 seconds.

Hordge, a junior health and wellness major, finished tied for fourth in the 55-meter dash with a time of 6.39 seconds. Eddie Bynum of Salem State won the final in 6.33 seconds.
