Track & Field Opens Indoor Season at Fredonia

BUFFALO, NY— Buffalo State’s indoor track and field teams opened their season today in a non-team scored meet at Fredonia.

Joe Russell (N. Tonawanda/N. Tonawanda) kicked things off for the men, winning the 55-meter dash in 6.74. Ray Peoples (Buffalo/Cleveland Hill) crossed first in the 200-meter dash (23.79), and Thomas Danat (N. Tonawanda/N. Tonawanda) won the long jump (6.18m).

Christina Lawrence (Pittsford/Rush-Henrietta) started the meet for the women with a win in the 55-meter dash in 7.64. Freshman Taniqua Hollingsworth (Buffalo/East) was victorious in the 200-meter dash in 27.98.

Buffalo State will return to action next Saturday at Case Western Reserve University.
